The University of Almería

The University of Almería has more than 15, 578 students and 29 departments. Built on the shore of the Mediterranean Sea, the students can appreciate the wonderful views of the sea and the beach from their classrooms, the library and the study areas. Until recently, the University of Almeria was considered to be an extension of the University of Granada and lectures have been given here since 1860. The modern campus is a few kilometers from the center of Almeria, the provincial capital.



The campus is set in a priviledged location and is equipped with modern lecture halls, departments and offices, language laboratories, a library, computer rooms and modern technology. Students can also make use of the three cafeterias, the restaurant, indoor and outdoor sports facilties,an auditorium and the student services building which organizes student activities.
